THE ROSARY

For Keeps! A Gift To last More Than a Lifetime. When I started this craft I ordered gemstones abroad & to my dismay all were wrong in dimension, 2mm smaller to be exact. So I told to myself, maybe one of this days I can make use of these incredibly cute pretty gemstones. Now I realize it was a blessing in disguise, I got the idea of making this exquisite gemstone rosary from that misfortune. So I know that even little accidents happen for a reason.

THE ROSARY The word rosary comes from Latin and means a garland of roses, the rose being one of the flowers used to symbolize the Virgin Mary. If you were to ask what object is most emblematic of Catholics, people would probably say, "The rosary, of course." The rosary is a devotion in honor of the Virgin Mary.

FENG SHUI WEALTH SHIP

One of the most fascinating Feng Shui Amulets. I learn to admire it after watching the movie Avatar The Air Bender. So I tried to read more about it and learned that:

WEALTH SHIP possess the symbolic meaning for the purpose of sailing in lots of wealth and fortune. The wealthy ship has the meaning of Doing Everything Well. Furthermore, wealthy ship also helps people to achieve their destination easily as the ship is sailing on the calm sea.

Then I started using it in some my Jewellery Designs. I love it. What do you think?

MANDARIN LOVE DUCKS

Mandarin Kissing Ducks Or Mandarin Love Ducks. Why I Love Them? They are romantic specially in Rose Quartz & so meaningful.

In Feng Shui, MANDARIN DUCK is one of a symbol for Love and Romance. Always put the Mandarin Ducks as a pair and it symbolized togetherness. When you put them as a pair, they will create the kind of “Chi” that is most conducive for lovers to become a married couple.

I will be designing few pieces featuring this great Feng Shui Love Symbol in My Upcoming Valentine's Collection 2011 "Somewhere In Time". I will posting both Oriental & European Theme Designs.

PIYAO

I am not Feng Shui Practioner but I am quite intrigue by some of their amulets. Some I find strangely beautiful that I sometimes use it in my Jewellery Designs. One of which is the PIYAO a strange looking Feng Shui Mythical Creature.

The Pi Yao is a mystical creature that is an extremely powerful and auspicious amulet of good fortune, just behind the Dragon. It is said to have a voracious appetite that is infinite. The interesting part is that the Pi Yao does not have an anus, which means things only go in but never come out. It is therefore a favorite must-have for businessmen and merchants wishing loads of money rolling in without spilling out a dime. It is no wonder that the figurines of Pi Yao can often be seen in banks, casinos, foreign exchange markets and finance companies in Oriental countries. Besides that, the Chinese adore the Pi Yao because of its protective, obedient and loyal nature. It is believed that the Pi Yao will always try its best to fulfill its owner’s wish and safeguard the health and welfare of its owner. In short, the powerful Pi Yao ushers in wealth, attracts good luck, wards off evil.

HOWLITE   is a super-calming stone and many people use it to relieve stress of all kinds. Place a howlite stone in your pocket to absorb your own anger - or another's anger that is directed toward you. It helps to overcome critical or selfish behaviour.

JADE “Stone Of Wisdom & Prosperity”

Yellow Jade is similar to Orange Jade in that both convey the gift of inner peace, joy and happiness. Some use it to promote longetivity, protection, and divine love.

Detachment:  Helps you to be calm and accept your surroundings for what they are, instilling a sense of detachment to the chaos, and not claiming it for your own.

Discernment: Helps the wearer to sense the truth in all situations.

Dreams: Helps one remember their dreams, and provide help with dream-solving. Aids dream recall if placed under pillow.

Desires: Also helps you in  bringing your dreams into reality, and in making all things possible.

Love Stone: given by lovers as a statement of their love and devotion to each other, and used in lovemaking for its known erotic properties and the enhancement of sexual performance, and increase in fertility.

Humanitarian: It helps you to tune into the needs of others, rising above yourself, and gives you insight into their problems.

Priorities:  Helps you to put things in the proper perspective, and focus on the primary concerns for today.

Confidence: assist in self assurance, self reliance, and self sufficiency.



AMETHYST “The Stone Of Spirituality”

Amethyst  is February’s Birthstone.  Amethyst is also used to keep a person grounded, by removing chaos and encouraging mental clarity. It also instills love and high ideals, urging the wearer to do what is right. It can also be helpful in curing impatience, and removing feelings of victimization.

Amethyst is known as the Bishop's Stone and is still worn by Catholic Bishops. The amethyst symbolizes piety, humility, sincerity and spiritual wisdom.



CORAL

CORAL  Modern believers lend its reputation to calm and improve life. In many countries, it is used to protect children. Some countries observe the practice of giving coral to children for their protection. Coral is known to be beneficial in taming tempers, rages and compulsive disorders. Also, coral removes depression. Consequently, coral is good for spiritual balance. Coral, worn by Chinese Kings and Queens, has an interesting history as a symbol of wealth and status in Ancient China. In Buddhist beliefs, it is a treasure to protect you from devil spirits.



AGATES “ The Stone Of Balance”

Agates are known to aid in attracting strength, thus making it a perfect gemstone for protection. It is said to be ideal for emotional and physical balancing, building healthy energy patterns and self confidence, self-honesty. Also believed to reduce stress, help with blood circulation, longevity and protection. Used in jewelry since the Biblical times, agates were used to ward off nightmares, stress, and to bring

the sleeper good dreams.



TURQUOISE “The Stone Of Wisdom & Spiritual Journeys”

Turquoise  is December's birthstone. It promotes unity of the self and allows love and completeness to flow.  Turquoise, a stone that varies in color from green to greenish blue, is said to attract success, money, and love. It is also said to have powers of protection and courage. The stone relaxes the mind and does much to take away mental tension.

A truth stone, it symbolizes a time to be honest with yourself. Much will be gained when you become still, and see yourself as your truly are.

This stone is a reminder to share your vision and WALK your TALK! The truth is very motivating to those ready to hear it. By doing so, you make it okay for them to believe and follow.

This gem stone is a stone of self realization helping you to better understand yourself, your ideas and emotions. It is a wonderful aid in regards to any type of analytical thinking.

This is a stone of warmth and love, as it heals emotional wounds and pain with it's gentle calming salve. Opens the heart to the beauty within and all around us, and will begin its healing by reducing resentments.

As Amethyst is to the Spirit, so Rose Quartz is to the Heart.

Self-Acceptance, Self Love, and Personal Worth

Enhances all forms of love: self love, mother love, caring, kindness, platonic and romantic love.

Kindness: Opens our hearts and encourages us to be tender, peaceful and gentle. Teaches forgiveness and tolerance.

CITRINE "The Stone Of Success"

Citrine is November’s Birthstone. Citrine stems from the French word, "Citron", or lemon. Citrine is known as the lucky "Merchants Stone". If you are in any type of sales,  just put a citrine in the cash drawer and watch what happens.  Citrine is also called the "stone of the mind".  Ancient cultures believed that placing a citrine on the forehead of an elder would increase his psychic power. It symbolizes joy, wisdom , and peace. Many believe that it motivates writers and enhances creativity. It is said to treat depression and eliminate self-destructive tendencies.This beautiful golden gemstone is very beneficial in financial success, aiding in attracting and maintaing wealth. It is suggested that citrine stones be placed in places where money is active (i.e. cash registers, offices). Citrine also aids in fine-tuning your intuition, ideas and solutions. CARE FOR YOUR RUBERTO'S JEWELLERY

 
Care For RUBERTO'S Handmade Gemstone Jewellery as you would any delicate keepsake. Don't sleep, swim, sunbathe or shower in your jewellery. It's also a good idea to not exercise (as in vigorous exercise) in your jewellery to minimize exposure to body oils and perspiration.

Wear your Handmade Gemstone Jewellery often. It helps keep the silver from tarnishing. When you're not wearing your jewellery you can temporarily store it in a zip lock bag to minimize tarnishing. When needed. you can polish your silver with a polishing cloth that you can purchase at most jewellery and department stores. Try to avoid rubbing this cloth on the stones.

Most stones are quite strong, but try to avoid dropping or banging your jewellery against hard objects as the stones can crack or break. Don't leave your jewellery in direct sunlight. Some stones naturally fade in sunlight, and heat and sun can badly damage pearls and opals.

Store your handmade jewellery as you would any delicate item. Storing in the original box is good, or in a jewellery box. Don't let items bang into each other.

Keep chemicals such as perfume, lotions and make-up away from your jewellery. Apply cosmetics first, then put your jewellery on.

To keep your jewellery clean you can wipe your stones and pearls with a soft cloth, or you can use a damp cloth when needed. We strongly advise against immersing your jewellery in water. Never use harsh abrasives or cleaners, including chlorine, on your stones or pearls. We are of the opinion that ultrasonic cleaning is not a good idea for the kind of jewelry we make.
